Job server not repsonding

Hi All,

I installed Data Services 4.0 on Server and configured the repository for the same.

Next, I installed Data Services client setup on my PC. I can open the designer and create jobs, but it shows Job server not responding.

Request you to please suggest some solution. I tried all the possible solutions mentioned in various forums but no luck.

Hi All,

I managed to solve the issue. The problem was with the Firewall settings on the Server machine.

After disabling the firewall settings the job server started responding.

Hi Diptesh,

If you see in BODS 4.X Designer you are getting this message "Job Server is not responding", So after Creating the Local Repository you have to add that Local Repository to Job Server, Using SAP Business Objects Job Server Manager in Windows or in UNIX it was Server Manager (./svrcfg).

Then Login in SAP Business Objects Data Services Designer 4.X and pass the server details then Select the Local Repository and login and check the Job server status in right hand side of BODS 4.x Designer and the execute the Job.

As suggested by you, everything is working fine for me on the server machine.

but i am facing problem on my system i.e. Client Machine
