MTO - Pegging Relationship - SCM 5.0 vs SCM 7.0

Hello.

In our SCM 5.0 when a sales order is created. The Gatp runs first the Availability Check, then production(CTP).

At the first moment a planned order is created to cover the sales order. Both are in the same date, it's ok and correct!

For my example, the Sales Order and the planned order were created at 11/01/2013(mm/dd/yyyy)

If we manually change the planned order  date to 12/01/2013(In SCM) and run the ATP again(VA02), the SCM will find this order in 12/01/2013 and changes the sales order date to 12/01/2013.

Now in the SCM 7.0,  both system have the same configuration  in GATP(Check mode, Atp group and etc) when i try do the same steps, the results are different:

1) When i change the planned order to the future(after the sales order), the SCM delete the pegging relationship.

2) To solve the problem 1, the pegging   relationship was fixed( i did this manually) and tried again. But the ATP don't found my Planned Order.

This is behavior is correct in 7.0?

anyone have sugestion why the SCM don't use my planned order?

Best Regards,

Marcelo

Well..

I have good news and bad news.

I found the problem...

Here we are using the RBA with location substitution.

When the SCM did the substitution, it created a new item. Our Sales Order now have 2 items:

item 1: Original location

Item 2: New Location

The item 1 in SCM will not show anymore, because the mandatory item now is the item 2. This item 2 has the pegging relationship with the planner order.

If we change the planner order to the future and do the atp again the SCM uses the item 1 and creates a new planner order.

My fixed planned order is ignored!!! A new planned order was created for temporary requirements and after i save the sales order will be 2 planned orders in my item 2!

I'm trying to find note to fix this issue.

Best Regards

Hello Marcelo,

I am stuck at the same problem as you're facing. Duplicate orders being created. Please let me know the note that you're implementing so that I will try the same.

Thanks

After few debugs:

- Everytime we did the ATP the SCM was called using item 1, the SCM ignores the item 2.

- I created a planned order in future inside the special stock of item 1. The SCM finds this planned order, confirms my sales order using the date of my fixed planned order. But shows an error message(ATP will no executed) and don't create the new item(The flag "Create Subitem" was checked).

- Another situation, with 2 items a did the ATP. the SCM calls the ATP 2 times. For each item.

However the item 2 don't have results. During the item 1 verification, i changed using the debug the special stock to the item 2. The SCM finds again the planned order, but shown this error:

"No substitution for item 0050501092/000002 with "rules immediately""

And removed the second item.

note: In our scenario, we always need 2 items.

Hello Marcelo,

You get that error if you have checked the "Rules Immediately" option in the check instructions and could not identify the substitution rule for the line item.

Hi Babu.

This error occurs because i forced a planned order. Without the planned order, the system ran ok.

Hello,

Ideally the sales order change will have to set the below:

You have set the Recreate Receipt Elements indicator in the check instructions.

You have specified a Horizon for Recreating Receipt Elements on the ATP tab page in the product master. The receipt elements have a status that allows deletion. If the receipt elements are fixed (PP-fixed, input-fixed  or activity-fixed), the system cannot delete the them.

You can view the help document for pegging for SCM 7.0 features:

Hope it helps

Hello Swetha,

I have a question related to this.

Do you know how the receipt element gets the status as PP-fixed ?

Hello,

It can be fixed by running the heuristic for fix pegging relationship

Hello Swetha.

I have tried the "Recreate Receipt Elements" indicator.

After few tests, i created a new message in SAP support.

This behavior only occurs in SCM 7.0. On SCM 5.0 the system works fine.

Hello Marcelo,

Once you get any solution from SAP, please post the solution here as it will help me too since I am also facing the same problem.

Hi Marcelo,

Did you received any reply from SAP?

I had gone though your post and i created the scenario and it does work as as you said working in SCM 5.0.

Just make sure:  the planned order category (after changing either AI or AJ) need to be part of scope of check.  and Yes, if you moved the planned order to future date, based on that date sales order will create a date next to planned order for confirmation.

I don't see any issues on that.

Let me know if did not understand your issues properly.

Hello Pravin.

We have another company using the same configuration, but in SCM 5.0.

The planner order is in scope of check.

The SAP don't answered yet.

Best Regards.
