Transport request is not imported as per request logs, Import overview shows request already imported

Hi,

We have rather strange issue ongoing . . .

Though transport request is not imported as per request logs, i can see stms import overview shows 'request already imported'!

Please advice on what can be checked here? And why/how the status is already imported, when it is not, even as per logs.

Regards,

Naga

HI,

1. Select the TR request.

2. Goto Import monitor and overview.

3. Goto edit and display more:- It will show the id and date the TR has been imported.

4. Check the version of the objects imported using the version management .

Sorry, but, may be i haven't made myself clear with the question.

The problem is, the import hasn't even started, it is at 'selection of import phase' only in QAS. But, in import overview of QAS, the transport is with status 'Request imported'!!

Please let me know anything that might help investigating further . . .

Hi Naga,

Goto transport domain controller and tcode se01:-

Give the TR number.

see the logs whether it has been imported or not.

If yes, select TR and goto environment->version management

and check whether the changes have been reflected in the system or not

Also,

using import monitor in stms_import tcode we can get the details of TR.

It might help in identifying the issue.

Hi Himanshu,

As i said, it is not imported . . .

But in import overview shows as imported, definitely strange to understand what i am experiencing here.

Hi,

It appears to be a TR number range mismatch. Somehow the TR numbering sequence has gone incorrect in E070L table.

Everything fine now.

Have you checked if the objects which should be imported are really in the transport request?

What says the log exactly?

Yes, the objects are in the request.

As per log, the request isn''t even imported. The selection for import step shows 'Ended with Warning'. However, can see other requests transporting successfully.

So, could it be the content of the request that might be a problem?

The import is ended with RC=4 or RC=8?

If 8 then there is one or more than one object, which is not imported.

Details must be displayed in the log. There you must see which object it is.

If the transport ends with RC=4 than should all objects be imported.

Could you please give a screen of the log error message.

Damian
