SAP NetWeaver 7.4

Hi to everybody,

we want to install a SAP Netweaver 7.4 BW on a Windows MS-SQL Database 2012 without using SAP HANA. Is this possible or do we have to install SAP NetWeaver 7.3 for using SAP BW without SAP HANA?

Hello,

You can install SAP BW on any database. It is not mandatory that you need SAP HANA for this.

You can install SAP BW 7.4 as well on MSSQL 2012. Please check PAM for supported versions.

Hello,

I Have checked the PAM and MSSQL 2012 is not Given in that .

As of now supported(Given in PAM) data bases are Oracle,DB2,MaxDB,Sybase and HANA.

thank you for your really fast answer.

So we can use SAP BW without using SAP HANA if we install SAP NetWeaver 7.4. This information is very helpful.

Sorry for my further question, but what do you mean with PAM for supportes versions?

PAM- Product Availability Matrix where you can check whether a particular version is support for a particular combination of database and OS etc.
