Filter on Currency

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to do currency translation on Planning and I am new to this

and following the documents based on which I am trying to apply. But the requirement

is to apply a currency translation then in Report there should be a filter of currency where

I choose currency the data should get change in that currency automatically. Please guide

how to achieve this what steps I need to follow .

Hi Natasha,

If you have followed the how to guides on currency translation, you will notice that executing currency translation will convert the data in LC to different reporting currencies. This means that the database will have the data in LC and also in the reporting currencies.

Fetching the data in the template is just a reporting. Once you change the context of the currency dimension, the data reflected will be in that currency. However, you need to ensure that the currency translation has been executed, before.

Hi,

BPC is not like BW to convert data into required currency on fly at reporting. First you should convert values into your required target currencies and store those values in to Model. At reporting level user can choose the required currency to see values.
