Reserved Stock against expired quotations

There have been quotes created in the past and they have been allocating stock.
Then the sales order has been generated and as well as the invoice but the quotes look like they still hold stock.
This now creates the problem that we order new product and it straightaway becomes unavailable for sale due to the quotes reserving this stock..we are seeing backorders and write offs for these products now.

As rightly pointed out by Santhosh, Schedule Line Category for Quotation is BN which would not pass the requirements to Production.  This means, stock would not be reserved against quotation.  Please update here what schedule line category you could see in those quotations.

Thank you Sir for your inputs.

The Schedule line is a customized one which we are using and it is batch managed. And hence we have activated requirement check at the Quotation level only.

Now is there any mechanism to delete/cancel the Quotation which has been expired and fully referenced.

Either you can assign the standard schedule line category as already suggested above if you have maintained the same in VOV5 or assign reason for rejection for those quotations and refresh MD02.  If the number of expired quotations are huge, you can assign the reason for rejection in bulk via MASS

Hi,

First of all , there will be no Availability check carried out at Quotation level

Could you please confirm your item category and schedule lines

check standard Item category for quotation AGN and standard Schedule line BN

hope it is clear

santosh
