Hello

I wouldn't suggest increasing the Java heap parameters of the system just because you have more memory on the system than before.

You should first analyse how much memory is used by the database and the J2EE system with the present configuration.

What is this portal used for ? Are there any frequent OutOfMemory issues on the J2EE system ?

Having additional server nodes is far better than assigning more heap memory to a single server node.

Hi Tushar,

How many server nodes do you have now?  Multiple nodes certainly helps so that one job in error does not lock up access to the other users.  It's better to have a number of nodes rather than one or two very large ones.

Hi,

In case of NW 7.3 system you can Increase the heap size - if you have the available resources and enough memory - to 2.5GB - 4GB.
