Hi Experts,
I am trying to refresh cache on PI system (NW 7.3 Ehp 1 Dual stack) using the transaction SXI_CACHE.
I am receiving the error message as "Missing Authorization to execute cache refresh for user PICACHEUSER" This is appearing on the main screen as soon as I execute SXI_CACHE. The result is same for Delta Cache refresh and Complete Cache refresh.
I have check the roles assigned for the PICACHEUSER and following roles are present. Authorizations and User tabs are Green.
1. SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_PI_CFG_SRV
2 SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR
3. SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER
4. SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER_MAIN
5. SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE
The User is not locked.
I have checked other users like PIDIR<SID> and assigned the same roles as that of PICACHEUSER and PIDIR<SID> user is not locked.
I have also checked the SM59 --> H type connection --> INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI --> User present in the Logon & Security area is "PIIS<SID>" and this user is not locked. The connection test is resulting into HTTP Response Code 200 - Connection test status is showing as OK.
Exchange Profile parameter "com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser. * " has the user "PIAPPL<SID>" and this user also not locked.
XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK has been upgraded to latest support package level.
SICF --> default_host --> sap --> xi --> I have activated all the services under "xi" including "cache" and "cache_ssl"
I have already referred the following links:
http://scn.sap.com/thread/1128252
Please suggest If I am missing something and suggest possible solution.
Regards,
Tufyl

Hello All,
I was getting the same error after upgrading from SAP Netweaver 7.3 PI dual stack to SAP Netweaver 7.31 PI dual stack. The note helped solve the issue to an extent as the authorization issue with PICACHEUSER is no more an issue. However, in SXI_CACHE I get a new error now which is an INTERNAL ERROR & the error is
Error 'HTTP status code 400 Bad Request' while executing HTTP request (calling method 'get_status')''
Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Hitesh Gupta
Hello Tufyl,
Give the user the following roles:
See note 1702097 PI CTC: Step "Assign roles to user 'PICACHEUSER'" fails.

Mark

hi,
Pls check the link http://scn.sap.com/people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2006/12/19/unable-to-read-integrationdirectoryhmiundo...
Also check SICF->XI->default_host ---> sap ---> XI, now check cache & cache_ssl are active.

Hi Ahmed,
Ask for roles "SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_ABAP" and "SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_ABAP".
This Should work.

Sid.
