MDM - newbie install/config

Hi all

We are considering to implement a MDM-server, -client, etc.

As I read the Master Guide there are no SAP prerequisites?? Does this mean that we can install the server "directly" on a Linux/Windows machine? And the client-tools on a Windows machine?

Sorry for the simplicity of the questions but I just need to be sure.

Thanks

Peter Michael

    Hi Peter,

Yes, right now, MDM architecture does not have anything to do with the traditional SAP architecture. You can install MDM on a windows server and the clients on a Windows PC.

Its not a requirement to have SAP WAS. As SAP took over a company called A2i and MDM happens to be a product of theirs (previously cal xCAT). However, SAP have already made some changes and lot more are in pipeline to give the product the SAP flavour.

    Welcome to the MDM world.

    Regards,

    Ravi

    Hi Peter,

There is a sizing guide in Srvice Market Place which you can follow for your hardware requirements.
