Hi Experts,
Good day! I would like to ask your help in identifying the root cause why the metrics in system monitoring > System availability > ABAP System Availability > ABAP Message Server Status and ABAP Message Server Https Availability Metrics are grayed out. Upon checking the metric troubleshooting it says the ff:
1. ABAP Message Server Status:
- 'initial collection managed object ID: metric ID xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Managed object ID xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
when i click the tool icon it says:
- The directory data for the selected managed object is inconsistent.
- No measured values have been reported by data provider.
- last measured value was calculated at xx.xx.xxxx on xx:xx:xx
2. ABAP Message Server Https Availability
-No data has been transferred to BI system up to now for metric ABAP Message server Http Availability of system XXX
Hope i could get some advise for this. Thanks!
regards,
Stephen

HI Stephen,
I did face the same problem with some of the Metrics not collecting and giving gray alerts in System monitoring, so i will suggest you to do few checks as shows below, might help.
b. Ensure that latest content from SAP has been imported and applied on the Update Content step. Check for the timestamp of Imported time and Applied time to know whether the conent has been recently imported and applied
c. Navigate to Setup Monitoring step by selecting the required scope on "Define Scope" step.
d. Click on Apply and Activate button for the content to be active.
The gray metrics problem should be solved with this solution. Hope it helps .
