Ownership Calculation Issue "No Range For Percentage Found in Method Table"

Hi Experts,

I'm facing an issue while trying to calculate Ownership using BPC ownership manager. Following steps were carried on:

Entered the share percentages in the method table as follows:

2. Created the ownership structure for all Groups and inserted entities under every group.

3. Created a Cross Ownership Input Form and entered percentages for PCTRL & POWN.

While I try to execute automatic calculation using the ownership manager for "Group Share Method" System issues the following message:

Has anyone come across this issue, if yes, please share your views on the resolution. This is quite urgent.

Thank you all in advance.

You may want to look at the msg in this same forum with the heading

Resolving UJP_EXCEPTION_050 error in BPC NW 10

You may be missing additional ownership records.

    Hi Mohammad,

In most case, this error happens because you submitted the data in the group(e.g. G_CG1) that your entities belong to. For example, before ownership manager calculation, you have submitted 60% in G_CG1. And after ownership manager calculation, system generates a 45% to G_CG1. The total becomes 105%, which is out of the share range you defined.
Also, you may double confirm if you submitted the percentages for PCTRL and POWN to G_NONE.

Here is very helpful HOW-TO guide about ownership manager. It explains how system calculates the values. It’s quite worth of reading. Also another note Note 1599504 - Ownership Calculation issues is quite good as well.

This has been resolved. I had already gone through the link suggested by you guys and everything had been set up accordingly.

However, a note by SAP suggested for Equity method, instead of setting up share range as 0.00< , <=0.20, set it this way 0.00<= , <=0.20. This resolved this issue and now the ownership manager has calculated all the percentages accurately.

    Thanks for your suggestions.
