I could fix it by creating a new AJS

Did you have to make any change other than creating a new AJS server and starting it?

- if all servers (except CMS) are disabled : check your license

- restart the SIA

- follow the recommendation of Sohel Ahmed Syed in this thread

If you already have AJS, Right click on it and select 'Replicate Server'

Or if you don't have already one, creating new, Create new -> Service Category (Core Services), Select Service (Authentication update scheduling service) and click next , next to create Job server. Add whatever the services required for Job Server.

Generally, server status will be disabled to stop queuing the jobs for processing. The job server will process the request which are already in queue with the status as "Running" and it wont receive any jobs for processing until the server status has been changed to "Enabled".

If you are unable to change the status of the job server to "Enabled" then I would suggest you to restart the SIA.

Let me know if it helps!!

Hello Vijay - Thanks for your response.

We have just installed the BO4.1 and set up the servers. We dont have any jobs either in queue or running. If i restart the server the adptive jobserver shows as running but dissabled at the next moment. Any idea?

Hi Siji,

Have you created any custom AJS or the AJS with which you are facing the issue is the default one?

Got you!! Can you please delete the job server which is facing this issue and recreate a new one.

Before deleting it, please make sure that

  • Ports are opened.
  • Take a copy of the command line
  • Check if any tracing enabled already. If yes, please disable it.
  • If you are sure that there are no jobs in queue, you are all set for deleting this job server.

Vijay

Hi Siji,

I guess you have installed BI 4.1 on windows, seems that there are some missing libraries in sapjvm folder, you can use process monitor to find this out, and replace the mssing files from a working environment, I would suggest to stop AJS, replace the whole sapjvm folder frm a wrking environment and check if it works.

I agree with Sohel. Have you tried that option of replacing the whole sapjvm folder from a working environment? To add to that, you can also try Stop the existing SIA and create a new SIA and enable services in it.

Let me know if the new servers are working fine.
