Portal iView renders in Quirks mode on one app server; Standards mode on other app server in cluster

Hello,

We are facing an issue with iView rendering in Quirks mode in our production portal system when using IE11. The issue was fixed in our development system where the iViews are rendering correctly in Standards mode. The iViews were transported to our test system and the iViews are rendering correctly in this system in Standards mode. The iViews have now been transported to our production portal, where the the iview renders correctly in Standards mode on the secondary application server but renders in Quirks mode on the primary application server.

Our production portal consists of two application servers on 7.4 SPS12. Each application server has 4 Java nodes. The java nodes on each application server were restarted. We use SAP Web Dispatcher for load balancing both the connections to portal, and the portal connections to the back-end ECC system. We have the same Web Dispatcher configuration in our development and test environments. However, in those environments we only have one portal application server. Calling the production app servers directly w/o WebDispatcher produces the same results as before. Removing the load balancing config so ECC is called directly produces the same results.

We also have another environment used for projects and this portal environment is set up like our production environment – 2 app servers, web dispatcher, SP version, etc. The iView renders in Standards mode on both app servers in this environment.

The iViews were transported to production portal with CTS+. We have tried to reimport with CTS+ but received same results. We extracted the .epa file from the CTS+ transports and imported through portal import which in overwrite mode which produced the same results.

The PcdCheckTool was executed under \J01\j2ee\pcdToolsV2 but found no inconsistencies.

PCD and Navigation caches have been cleared. Browser cache has also been cleared.

Anyone in the community have any suggestions as to what should be checked next. THinking of deleting the iViews and Role and re-importing again.
