Dear SAP Gurus
My question is actually a discussion and an attempt to probe the sponsoring thought behind the use of SQVI?
What is the best practice around giving SQVI to end users on the production? Is it a common practice or a rare one? or is it something which is given to the power users and not all the end users?
Is there any variation in the answers to the above questions given that SAP IS-U is in place (given the fact that very few standard reports are pre-built)
Appreciate your point of view and core SAP thinking on the same ...

Hi Muhammad,
I haven't seen many companies allowing SQVI to end users. Main reason for this seems to be that users are "dangerous": one bad query can damage performance quite badly. This happened in a company I worked many years ago, where only a handful of users had access to SQVI. After such event, the access was revoked.
Really don't know how other companies handle this.
Cheers,
Custodio
