Issue related to Web Template Variblae Screen

I have a infoobject 0COMPANY used in a BEx Query and based on which, i built a Webtemplate,

In the Web Template Variable Screen, the Input Help for this Company Infoobject, it is showing, TEXT and then KEY and i want to change to this KEY and TEXT.

When i execute the BEx Query, the input Help for this object is KEY, SHORT TEXT and MEDUIM Text.

Most importantly The BEx Query is BUILT on the ODS.

Hi,

Some where I have seen the information:

You can make settings for displaying (filter) values in

at least the following locations:

1) In InfoObject maintenance (transaction RSD1)

2) In InfoCube maintenance (transaction RSDCUBE->Menu

Extras->InfoCube-specific attributes of the Infoobjects)

3) In query definition for the attributes of a characteristic

Only the first two sets of settings listed above apply in

the case of the F4 help on the variables screen in Web

reporting. If no you have not made settings in the InfoCube-specific attributes of the Infoobjects for

displaying filter values, the settings made for the

InfoObject are used. Otherwise, the settings made in the

InfoCube-specific attributes of the InfoObjects control display are used.

So here in your case, you are using ODS, the display options maintained in Info object maintenance will drive the display options in Web Template.

Thanks for insight,

I followed the same concept of yours and made some changes to InfoObject Maintaince in the Business Explorer TAB and i don't see any change in the order of Input help in the varialble Screen.

any other ideas please !.

Hi,

After making changes and activation of Info object, Have you log off from web appplication designer or browser? And make sure that there is no session relevent to these components in SM04. And then do re log in.

Let me know the ststus.

I tried changing the same once agian no effect on the Variable Screen Input Help.

hope to hear some more things.

I tried by myself but seems to be a bug: at cube level there is a functionality (for WEB side) that it's not possible to use for ODS...try to ask for some support/clarification at SAP support and let us know !
