Unable to Edit/Change the iview name

Hi All,

I am trying to edit an Iview by name "Status Overview" to appraisal but the changes are not saved but getting as named changed successfully as message.

It was even happening for few other iviews as well.

Please let me know what could be the reason for this issue and the solution.

Hi Steffi,

I just copied the portal application and pasted as pcd object into the cutsom folder and named it as "Appraisals". It worked.. Hence i used this new iview in the page.

have you tried to change the name by right-click and "Change ID", too? Does is save the new name that way?

Thanks for your reply . Yeah i tried both options renaming through - modify properties and by right click - change ID .Both didn't work.

It is a Java iView based on mast iView "com.sap.pct.hcm.teamviewer.mbo"

Hello,

hmm, yeah... I had a lot of trouble of renaming some iviews, too. Especially ESS iviews. I tricked them by using the method of Portal Content Translation.

It sounds more complicated than the execution is in the end and got me my results (the names and shown texts I wanted for the iviews). Maybe this will help you, too. Just don't let the huge workflow for this scare you off. ^^
