Virtual BW Characteristic issues based on HANA Attribute View

Dear community:

We have a an attribute view defined in HANA where the keys of the tables involved are 32 character system generated GUIDs for the associated master data. We have a characteristic based off this native hana view. Displaying the master data in BW displays invalid characters for the GUIDs. Anyone familiar with this behaviour?

Issue resolved. The fix was to translate the nbinary format table key in HANA to a readable string format via a calculated column in the attribute view. Exposing the translated column as a key to the infoobject varchar definition in BW fixed the problem. Hope this info benefits the community. Thank you.
