IE05 , Default characteristics ( Settings-->Show/hide classification )

Hi SAP Gurus,

Our customer has requested to have Equipment Characteristics appearing as default in IE05  , instead of users going to Settings , Show/hide classification.

Note @ As of now we intend to use only 1 class with 8 characteristics and don't intend to expand the list of characteristics .

Can you please let me know

1) Is there a standard way of setting , Show/hide classification as default.

2) Or we need to do a ABAP development .

Thanks

Regards

Frazer

Frazer,

I did some quick debugging and it appears you cannot default this data.

As far as I can tell, you will need to develop a solution

Hello

within the Business Function LOG_EAM_CI6 you will find some changes in how classifications in Lists are handled.
But you still have to pushSettings , Show/hide classification to get these results.
If you want to automate this as well you can use GUIXT

Please have a look in the help documentation

Hi Peter and Stephan,

I agree with both of you ,

1) Either go for a Development

2) Use GUIXT to automate

3) Business Function LOG_EAM_CI6 ( this is something new for me , which I shall explore)

Thank you .

We developed our own report based on IE05 because we had issues with the way SAP displayed the data - mainly due to the sequencing of the columns, and that empty characteristics were not being shown (assuming all equipment selected didn't have a value).

So our report now shows all characteristics for the given class, and in the same sequence as specified in the class - irrespective of whether the characteristics are populated.

Hi

FYI:

the Business FunctionLOG_EAM_CI6 allows you to define the seqquence of the columns and shows empty Characteristics as well. On top of this it is possible to display more than 15 characteristics.
