BEx query - Filters - SAP-GUI-Styled behavior (Copy+paste)

Former Member

Hello experts,

I have a BEx query working alright. Biz requested to me to allow to restrict some characteristics values as if it was a SAP-GUI-Styled, this is, they want to copy some values from an excel (for example) and to directly paste them in the text box without performing any additional steps (just like replacing LineFeeds by Semi Colons or something). This is they want to directly upload from clipboard and then be ready to query.

Any clues or advise are much appreciated, thanks a lot in advance,

Bernardo

You can easily provide this option in BEx Variable screen-->F4 drop down values-->History opens by default-->Click on More-->You can right click on right side empty space-->Upload from selections. You can select the text file here to copy all the values.

You can simply paste the values in this empty space also.

Hi,

If you want to upload:

From Clipboard:

1. After clicking on the "Select from List" click on the

"More >>" button.

2. Click on the right box to set the focus.

3. Past (Ctrl + V).

From txt file:

1. After clicking on the "Select from List" click on the

"More >>" button.

2. Right click on the right box and choose "Upload selections" option.

3. Select the txt file you want to import.

You can right click on right side empty space-->Upload from selections. You can select the text file here to copy all the values.

Try on empty space but not on values.
