Got problem on updateRule

Hello BW Geeks!!!

I think from the post you can imagine that I am a new dude here. I am trying to load transaction data using flatfile. while i was creating update rule got an error "Key figure was set to no update".

could you please suggest me on this issue.

Hi Kiran,

Welcome to SDN!!

In the update rules all the key figures have to be mapped. Click on the key figure and assign the info-object to it. Also make sure all the key figures are assigned in the update rules.

I have checked my transfer rules/ comm str and looks everything ok. also checked whether the infoObjects are active or not. everything sounds ok. i have also searched and read the previous post and could not still find the proper answer.

Hi,

When you enter update rules screen and see this message it means that the system cannot map fields in the comm structure and in the data target (URs) automatically. Most likely, the names are different, or you want to make some data transformation (no 1:1 transfer). Just click on a grey icon in the appropriate KF row and choose what you want to map to this particular KF.

Hi Key Run,

The error "Key figure was set to no update" generally occurs when you have not mapped one/or more of the Fields in the update rules to the target. This is just informational and hence should not stop you from loading data.
