Download Workflow Definition : Multiple Options

Hello ,

When I try to download workflow definition as XML it shows me three options.

1. BPML (0.4 version)

2. BPML (0.9 version)

3. Export workflow as Internal XML

Could you please tell me difference among these options and which to choose in which scenario.

Hmmmm..... what are you hoping you will be able to do with your downloaded workflow? That might make the decision for you.

I completely concur with Jocelyn, depends on what you want to do with the downloaded XML.

You usually use this functionality to export and import workflows to other systems outside the transport route. In theory you could do something else with the XML files but so far I haven't encountered a workflow consultant who had the need to do this, so I don't know what the possibilities are.

    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

    • Hello Rob,

For me its use is to create workflow in sandbox(for testing) , based on the workflow in development environment.

So i thought to download it from Dev and create a new one in sandbox but i see 3 options while downloading so i asked which one to choose in which scenario.
