Open Items Report crushing on SAP v9 pl5

HI,

When I want to open the both sales and purchase Open Items Report, SAP crushes. This is irrespective of the client since if the user uses a different machine/client that is working for a different user, it still crushes. This has made me believe it's nothing to do with the client setups but rather its something wrong with the specific license/user. The user is using professional license on SAP v9 pl 5.

Initially, the report was working well but it just started to throw the exception and SAP crushes.

What could be the problem and Could anyone have a solution for this???

Please refer SAP note 1885821 and follow stated work around.

Hi Adam,

If this issue is user related, the user profile need to be cleaned up. However, to find the problem in user profile is time consuming and very difficult. If it is acceptable, create a new user may be a quicker solution.

I suggest to escalate this issue to SAP Global Support.

I said that because of this note as follows:

Symptom

You open the 'Open Items List' report in Sales A\R module.
In the upper-right corner there is a drop-down list with several options. You choose the report to run for 'Missing Items'.

It may happen that the application does not respond for a while, and afterwards the following message is displayed:
SAP Business One Application has run out of memory, it will be shutdown automatically in order to prevent data inconsistency.

This issue occurs when there is many data to be handled in the report - number of the records in OITM table.

Solution

SAP intends to provide patches in order to solve described problem.
The section Reference to related Notes below will list the specific Patches when available.
The corresponding Info file of Patches on SAP Service Marketplace will show the correction / SAP Note number also.
Be aware that these references can only be set at Patch release date.
SAP will deliver Patches only for selected Releases at its own discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the implementation.

Probably it is also happened in SAP B1 9.0 PL05. Maybe it is different way with your issue but I can conclude that it is a critical condition.
