HI,
When I want to open the both sales and purchase Open Items Report, SAP crushes. This is irrespective of the client since if the user uses a different machine/client that is working for a different user, it still crushes. This has made me believe it's nothing to do with the client setups but rather its something wrong with the specific license/user. The user is using professional license on SAP v9 pl 5.
Initially, the report was working well but it just started to throw the exception and SAP crushes.
What could be the problem and Could anyone have a solution for this???

Hi Adam,
If this issue is user related, the user profile need to be cleaned up. However, to find the problem in user profile is time consuming and very difficult. If it is acceptable, create a new user may be a quicker solution.

I suggest to escalate this issue to SAP Global Support.

Probably it is also happened in SAP B1 9.0 PL05. Maybe it is different way with your issue but I can conclude that it is a critical condition.
