Best Practice when working with multiple measures

Hi All,

When creating a dashboard in BO Design Studio based on a BW query, the query contains multiple measures and dimensions  - how do you restrict the analytic component (i.e. column chart or similar) to display only one of those measures?

For example the query brings back Category (dim), Sales Channel (dim), Revenue (measure) and Net Margin (measure) and I want to have two charts one with Net Margin by Sales Channel and another with Revenue by Category.

Do I create an additional data source and set the initial view to what data I need ? If yes will having multiple sources not affect performance ?

Hi Ryan,

Today you would go for a new / copy data source.

Plans are that there is going to be such a feature in the next version of design studio:
