Vendor batch (LICHA) value not found in MCHA or MCH1 table

Hello,

I see the vendor batch (LICHA) value from transactions like MSC3N and BMBC (in classification tab) for a SAP batch # however when I checked table MCHA or MCH1 there is no value in LICHA field. Why LICHA has no vendor batch value? Is there other table that this value can be found? Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Eddie

Hi Jurgen,

I searched Materials Management (MM) from the first primary tag field but it was not available from the possible entry thus input MM.

I will check it out and see if I can find MM as a primary tag in the first field.

Eddie

Jurgen,

I must have overlooked it as I typed 'Material' in the tag field and the MM appeared at the last line which I had to scroll down to find it.

Now I know that I should check it thoroughly when entering the tag.

Thank you again for your help,
Eddie

the LICHA field is filled automatically when you post a receipt with reference to a purchase order and entered the vendors batch in the MIGO item detail batch screen.

If you only have a value in classification then the batch might have already existed before the receipt was done and/or your users maintain only the classification screen. (verify by displaying the material document for the receipt in MIGO, or ask the users) If a value is visible in classification only then it is certainly stored in table AUSP
