breaking into SAP

I work in middleware(weblogic) domain in HCL in india.I have 5 years of experience and present CTC is 6.8 lakhs.I am planning to do a certification in SAP BASIS from atos origin, hyderabad to break into sap.I have no such financial constraints nor I am leaving job to pursue the certification.I know I need to have a strong sap knowledge base along with the certification to clear the interviews and which I am confident i will work hard for it.Now,kindly advise me whether I am doing the right choice and how to go forward with it.As I am still a fresher ,I will still be getting 3-4 lakhs even if I clear the interview. In that respect is it advisable to go with the certification.

I don't thing so it will be a good idea for you change your Domain, as you already know you will be treated as Fresher in ABAP field as per technical experience and relevant experience concern.

I would suggest you to do some certification related to your current domain, or try to get some promotions.  😊

    Hi,

Your Current CTC will  always be more than your expected CTC...when you move the organisation from one technology to another technology(SAP)

GO ahead with your Certification...All the Best ....

SAP is the good technology where your skills are recognised more, all over the world.

    Regards

    Hi Arindam,

SAP in India is one of the fastest growing subsidiaries in SAP worldwide. It is also the third largest subsidiary of SAP, employing 4,000 software developers and more than 1,200 sales, consultants, and service and support professionals.

SAP in India began its operations in 1996, and today has more than 4,300 customers. Currently, SAP has a direct presence in eight cities in India, as well as in Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

For the second consecutive year, SAP was recognized by PC Quest magazine as India's
"Most Wanted IT" brand.  SAP was also rated among the "Top 5 Best Workplaces" for IT software companies in the Great Place to Work Institute® study in 2008. The study recognized the effort of SAP in India to create the best work environment, with a high rating for credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

SAP designated Capgemini a Leading Global Integration Partner in 1993. Our SAP Service Line has brought added value to over 1,000 companies from all major industries and geographies in 2011.

Hope this Solves your Problem 😊
