Bank cost is paid by institute (transferring amounts over sea's)

Hello all,

One of the customers is asking if it is possible for the following.

If someone from a foreign continent (for example if someone for Africa is transferring money to Holland) the world bank something holds back a certain amount for bank cost.

For example if the person in Africa is transferring 10.000 euro then effective we receive 9970 euro. Because the world bank is withholding 30 euro.

Now the questions is, is it possible somewhere in the FP05 to say ok we received 9970 but we post 10.000 euro to the account of the business partner. Then of course the 30 with a different co-determination.

Does anyone know if that is possible?

Thanks a lot

    Hi Lukas,

If you are able to identify these types of payments at the time of posting through FP05, then you can use event 0032 to cater your your requirement.

However, the scenario that you have explained only tells us about the payments made in full, what about partial ones.... how would you calculate the bank charges for those, as I think the bank charges varies from amount to amount.

I would recommend you to route these types of items to payment CWL at the time of processing through an enhancement in event 243.

During the post-processing you can determine, what are bank charges for those payment amounts.

    Hope it helps....

    Thanks,

    Amlan
