SI_SCHEDULE_STATUS - JOB Failure error message

Hi,

With reference to the below post. We want Since SI_SCHEDULE_STATUS column in one of our report.Since CMS database is encrypted, is there a way to decrypt it or is there any other possible to achieve this.

Sorry for not being clear in my post. The thing is, From my previous post (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3429570) I got the information that we can get Job failure Error Message from SI_SCHEDULE_STATUS Column from Query Builder. I want this information in Database. So that it can be used in reports. Following are my queries,

1. Which column in CMS DB holds the Job Failure Error Message?

2. CMS DB is Encrypted is there anyway to decrypt or get the error message in understandable format?

you can write a Java program based on the BOE SDK that dumps the status incl. the Name, CUID (or what ever other attribute you need) in a text file (CSV format). You can use the file as data source for your reports.

Unless you have somewhere a database accessible over JDBC and you can directly dump the BO repo data from the java program in a DB table instead.

ObjName would be the column of your interest. Have tried to decrypt the CMS table contents without any major success.

Refer the same data from CMS_InfoObjects7 table.

I do not recommend accessing directly the tables of the repository because:

1) Data are encrypted and as you can understand SAP will not provide any information that will help you decrypt the data (due to security reasons).

2) Assuming you know someone working for NSA and you are somehow able to decrypt the data both the encryption and the table structure of the repository are subject to change without notice in a future patch.

Accessing repository data should be done over the BOE SDK. THat's the way the BI Platform works anyway.

BTW it is worth it to get familiar with the BOE SDK since it can provide you with flexible solutions also in other cases.
