Hello
When PR's are generated for subcontracting components using MRP Areas, the source of supply is not being populated on PR based on the quota arrangments . There is a SAP Note 505667 which looks like is solution for this. Any one have any idea on this? what are precaution that needs to be consider before implementing this note?
Hello
Note 505667 is the solution for this issue.
Precautions and possible side-effects are fully described on the note long text. See below:
You can reverse Note 406672 as described in the attached correction
instructions. This also allows the quota arrangement in the storage
location or SC MRP area. You should only use the modification proposal
if the quota materials in the storage location or SC MRP area are only
planned a using external procurement. If you are using a special
procurement key for the quota materials in the storage location or SC
MRP area, this may be overridden by the modification (undesired side
effect when using the quota arrangement at plant level). Therefore, the
modification proposal deactivates the quota arrangement in the storage
location and SC MRP area if you want to procure using the special
procurement key 'Stock transfer from plant to MRP area'.
The modification does not take other special procurement keys into
account and the procurement using quota arrangement overwrites these.

Before implementing such a modification, you must consider the conflicts
and side-affects concerning the quota quantities that are not updated
separately for the different MRP areas.
A recommended alternative for the modification: We recommend that you
only plan materials with quota arrangement in the plant MRP area.
Materials without quota arrangement can of course be procured without
restrictions in the storage location or SC MRP areas.

Hi John,
Better to raise OSS and discussed issue with SAP, before implementing the note.
