Hello All
I have one ERP Custom Customer (Customer/BrandWise Sale Report) which I require its data for analysis purposes in BW infoCube 0SD_C01. as you see below the screenshot.
Q1) Do I need to create a Generic Datasource for this purpose to populate data into InfoCube 0SD_C01 Customer?
Q2) Could you please elaborate step by step procedures?
Q3) Is Delta Management possible for Generic Datasource, if so then how to do, please mention procedure/steps?
Q4) Beside above asked questions what others thing I should keep in mind?
Thanks
Regards
Arshiyan
Q1) Do I need to create a Generic Datasource for this purpose to populate data into InfoCube 0SD_C01 Customer?
You have to study your report and 0SD_C01 and make a list of unavailable fields. After that, you have to do a small feasibility study to enhance SD extractor or creating a new one is best.
Q2) Could you please elaborate step by step procedures?
You can find answer in my Q)1 reply itself
Q3) Is Delta Management possible for Generic Datasource, if so then how to do, please mention procedure/steps?
Why not? It is very much possible if your report(base tables) has any Time stamp, Calday or Numeric Pointer. Please search for Generic extraction steps in SCN.
Q4) Beside above asked questions what others thing I should keep in mind?
Your comparison of ECC report and SD cube/datasource should be done perfectly.

Suman

Hi
Q1) Not sure if I understand what you issue is. 0SD_C01 already contains the 0SOLD_TO why would you need a generic datasource?
Q2) You find plenty of documents on generic datasource when you use the search function
Q3) Delta management is certainly possible for generic DS if you have a timestamp or another object to determine detla.
hope that clarifies
Martin
