Dear Gurus,

Pl let me know why it is not allowed to post excess consumption against process order through MIGO, although it can be post through MB1A,

In both cases, mvt type is same i.e. 261, and also process order number is also same

Best Regards

Hi Patel,

You can issue excess quantity through MIGO also. Just select the other instead of order and -

1. Mov. type - 261

2. Material in Material tab

3. Quantity in Quantity tab

4. Plant and stl.loc. in where tab

5. And, production order in A/C Assignment tab.

HI,

My question is what is the logic that for Process Order no X in MB1A, system is issuing more Qty than available in Order while same is restricted in MIGO.

We know that in case of Others system is allowing but what about the above case?

if you mean that system is restricting even as you issue the very first time, then it may be an enhancement in your system

suppose in your process the quantity is 10. this will create a reservation or 10. when you do the goods issue thru migo for goods issue order, as per system standard you can exceed if this reservation is still available, means you can enter 12 instead of 10. but once the reservation is completed, you will not be able to issue any quanitity

goods issue  order is a planned consumption while when you do in MB1A order may only be an account assignment object and the consumption is unplanned.

you may also want to check SAP note 353095

In MIGO, when you choose order , it is a planned consumption. YOu will also find tab 'reservation'. you can exceed so long as the reservation quantity is completed.

In MIGO when you choose "other" instead of "order" you can still do goods issue, by giving the order number as account assignment.
