RO,

I don't recall ever seeing a screen which is an exact match to your question.

Within selected Heuristics, if there is a Strategy tab, you might find this checkbox.  Example Heuristic SAP_PP_CTP.  However, the words "Scheduling Strategy" do not appear.  Transaction is /SAPAPO/CDPSC11.

The checkbox can also be found within PPM maintenance within the Activity Relationships section, but, again, no mention of "Scheduling Strategy".  /SAPAPO/SCC03

Perhaps rather than having us hunt down your ephemeral transaction, you can just elaborate exactly is the business functionality you are trying to accomplish.  If you only wish to create a Strategy, you perform that task within the Strategy Profile maintenance transaction, already known to you.  The words "Scheduling Strategy" do not appear here, either.

an accurate shot rather.....checked it..... it is working fine with BADI......SAPAPO/ CDPS_PMAN_01 .. no gaps exists between jobs in DS planning board but it is still better to find a heuristic  to reduce idle time.

RO,

If you don't like white, there are methods within Windows to change color schemes.

If you are saying that you want to reduce time intervals between operations, then common solution is Compact Scheduling.

Thanks that I had  this kind of Compactness  after invoking compact scheduling  but that came along with side effects  with an uneven distribution of jobs along the time line.

Where lies the plot ? is it in resources  arena or  in  optimizer profile ?

RO,

This is now a different problem from the one you originally stated.  You now say you want a 'level schedule' in terms of 'pieces of throughput'.  Before, you said you wanted to remove intervals.  This requirement raises a whole different set of questions and possible solutions.

I suggest you avoid optimizer.  Creating a workable optimizer solution is not trivial.  From what I have gathered from your posts in the last few weeks, you already have your hands full.

It appears you haven't yet had a chance to read much about APO Detailed Scheduling in online help, to get a flavor of what direction(s) you should be taking.  I believe everything you need to know about scheduling and rescheduling, including compact scheduling, can be found in SAP Help documentation.  The first place I would look would be

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/b4/715839836c8122e10000000a11402f/content.htm?frameset...

With your ECC PP background, the topics should be very familiar to you.
