Responsible cost center could not be changed in WBS after settlement

Hello,

We faced with problem: responsible cost center could not be changed after investment WBS settlement.

Error message occured:

KI247 "Cost center belongs to business area & instead of &"

I found related SAP note "0000160499 KI247 with release investment measure", but it have implemented already in our system.

Please advice how to solve this issue.

Best regards,

Kristina

    Hi,

System does not let you change the CTR if actual costs exists and settlement performed. Talk to your CO guy to remove the costs CTR and redo the settlement etc whatever require. Then change CTR.

Try this note 415157 - AS02: Business area stored in spite of termination -

    Thanks,

      Hi,

thank you for the reply and suggestions. SAP note was implemented in the system.

First of all we will reverse WBS element settlement and then change the responsible cost center in the WBS master data.

      Best regars,

      Kristina

Look at SAP Note 889326 for another correction. And SAP Note 552051 for more information when a change can be made to the org elements on a capital WBS.

Also pay particular attention if the indicator for "Business area financial statements" is

activated in any of the company codes on the WBS or to which the Resp Cost Center or Responsible Cost Center are assigned. Also check for consistency on the Company Codes and Business Areas asigned to all of the Cost Centers.

Once you have made postings to a business area it cannot be changed.
