System Status Downtime Outages Advisory Page?

Former Member

We are in the last few days prior to going live and are now unable to access the system. We are getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed" errors, and DNS lookups to our systems are failing. All other internet sites work fine, suggesting the problem is upstream.

Please can anyone advise where can I see a service status page that advises of downtime, outages and fix times? Something like this: http://www.google.com/appsstatus or this: https://status.netsuite.com

Thank you.

Hello Mark,

If this is a Cloud Solution your are referring to, since your Go-Live is at stake, I would recommend to immediately call up the Support Desk for SAP Cloud services & ask them to raise a Very HIGH priority incident in order for the Cloud support team to address & fix the issue @ utmost priority.

Other thing is raise an incident on sme.sap.com under help as V.High priority addressing your issue.

SAP shall get in touch with you within 2 hours if its a Production issue with VERY HIGH priority.

Hope it helps & Good luck with your Go-Live.

Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to reply. We are implementing ByDesign, the cloud service. I cannot fathom why there isn't an easily accessible status page to quickly understand whether downtime is at the SAP datacenter to aid customers with troubleshooting when the system isn't available. Clearly at times it will be other issues and knowing the SAP ByDesign system is running without problem gives customers the impetus to pursue a more localised problem. With this lack of clarity, each time an outage occurs time and effort is wasted ringing the support desk or our local solution provider to try to determine where the fault lies.

No-one like to admit to outages but this isn't a free service, proper support including such status information must be made available.

Perhaps someone at SAP can point me at the right place to see a service status page or come up with a convincing argument (there isn't one ) why there isn't a need for it!
