Hi all,
Is there any way i can transport a T-ODS with the data included from BW Dev box to the BW Prd?
thanks
Tansu
hi tansu,
do you mean transactional ODS that filled data not via bw standard staging ?
change table to 'display/maintenance allowed' (transaction se11) then transaction se16 >> table entries >> transport entries ?
after that change back to default.

Hi HP,
I had thought the way you advised but the transport option was grayed out in SE16. Maybe you can help to enable it again..
Basically, I have my list to be uploaded to the /bic/xxxx table, and when i go to SM30 to maintain the table, i can't enter/upload this mass data. Let me know if you have any idea.
thanks
hi tansu,
you have to change the table /bic/xxxx first to 'display/maintainenance allowed with restrictions' to 'X maintenance allowed' via se11, then after everything done, change back it to previous setting. just think you may upload via abap program (save dev data to text) since this is not recommended.
Hi,
Yes you can transport tables including data. But definitly not recommended for BW cubes/ods because the administration data around request/monitor/etc will not be present in the target system and cause the data to be not ready for reporting or even system inconsistencies.
The most convenient way to get the data from dev to prd is creating a source system connection in dev to prd transport your ods to prd, create update rules from the ods export datasource to itself and load the data from ods exp. ds as a datamart to the ods in prd.
Kind regards, Patrick Rieken.

Tansu,
I do not think you can transport data.!!!
Transport your structures and load the data in the new system.
Guys!!! lemme know if I've got anything wrong..
