Hi,

    Cool and be Positive.

    OSS typically contains notes(explanations) for

each isseus or they provide tips.

The object you do will be tested regressly before

getting into the Production server. So don't worry bout

    it failing.

    And in Projects!!!!!!!

Why not, Should work well and your impression

    carries!!!!!

    Regards,

    Siva

    What is OSS?

It is the support service for SAP

what is the Tcode for OSS.

You can get to OSS via

    https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/support

    does abaper's use OSS?

Sure, ABAPers do need to check for program fixes.

Addition to Rich comments, if your object fails in QA then it will come back to you. You should fix that bug, save that in a new change request and send it for testing.

If you do not complete an object, then it all depends on you lead and manager what to do.

The whole process above is just a part (not complete) of Change management process followed in an organisation.

    Tcode for OSS is OSS1.

Process of moving objects from DEV-TEST-PROD is called software release process which varies from project to project. Basis component used for this purpose is CTS/TMS.

Process of finding bug by testing it and fixing it and finally release for production use is part of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

All software have bugs, by way of testing you try to minimize them. The whole reason why OSS exist is because even SAP software has bugs and it is a database of previously identified bugs and their fixes. So don't worry about what is going to happen in production, team responsible for testing will try to minimize bugs by testing all possible scenario and there should be a process to fix the bug even if it is found is production.

    Cheers,

    Sanjeev
