Hi all,

I have created assessment holds (call up point 0600) and activity Open Process (CO01), and assigned to a student. But still Am able to book that student for assessment and do it successfully. Is there any fault in my methodology for putting a hold? or is there some other method?. Please do help.

Regards,

Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

please tell us, which transaction you use to book the student to the assessment.

AFAIK the process "CO01" is used in transactions PIQEVALREGM (to open assessment processes) or PIQGRAD/PIQGRADST (to register students for graduation). If you use one of these transactions and still can open a process with student, which has the hold, please check that the hold is active at the date, for which you open the assessment process. I am not 100% sure that the system date is used for this. It could also be the keydate of the period you are opening the process for.

If you have checked all these and you still can open the assessment process you should search the marketplace, whether there is a SAP note targeting this issue or open a message, when you do not find one.

If you are not using the transactions mentioned above but instead try to book student to the SM of the CE instead, you should consider blocking process "MB01" with your hold.

Thanks Dirk,

I used PIQEVALREGM to open assessment process. Please tell how to check the key date. Am not able to find this .

Hi Sandeep,

there is no field in PIQEVALREGM to set a keydate. What I meant is, that I don't know for sure, which keydate PIQEVALREGM internally uses to search for active holds.

What you could do - just for testing purpose - is, to make the hold active in a time period covering the system date AND the whole time of the period (Ac. Year + Ac. Period) you selected in PIQEVALREGM to open the process in.

If then the hold is not blocking the CO01 task you should go to SAP markletplace.

Dirk.
