Data Staging Area

hi,

Can anyone explain what a data staging area is?

And should i be using an ODS or a CUBE?

My scenario is like this i need to bring SPL data from r/3 to BW. i have 3 different instances(servers) that i have to bring this data from into a data staging area.

Hi,

I hope, it will be PSA or ODS in most cases.And some times Info cube will become Data staging .
