After cloning an oracle database which was my production environment. I modified my TNSNAMES.ORA file to point to the clone but instead i get the error: com.businessobjects.wp.om.OMReportElementContainer (Error: INF ). Any ideas on how to resolve this?
If you schedule a web intelligence report it will run but open a webi report this error. The rich client is running fine with no issues.
Hii Emmanuel ,
Try below steps and check
1. Stop Tomcat.
2. Delete everything in this directory: <Prog Files>\Business Objects\Tomcat55\work\Catalina\localhost
3. Start Tomcat.

Hi Emmanuel
If your report is working in scheduling that means, there is no problem from repository side. In addition, report is working from rich client, it means all your servers (Adaptive processing server, Central Management server, etc.) should also be ok.
As report is not opening from InfoView, could be corruption at Application server level. Can you try following and provide feedback:
Also try to open the report from following URL:

Hi Emmanuel,
As far I understood the issue, the error comes in Infoview but not in Webi Rich Client.
It seems like you have only updated the tnsnames.ora file on BO Client Machine and not on Server Machine.
When you view or run the report in Webi Rich Cient, it refreshs using middleware and middleware related files on client machine.
However, while refreshing or viewing report in Infoview, database drivers and files of BO Server will be used.
To test this, login into Webi Rich Client in 3-tier mode (thin client) and check if the error comes.
To launch report in 3-tier mode, follow given steps:
1. In Infoview Preferences, go to WebIntelligence section.
2. Set the default editing/creation tool to Desktop
3. Click New --> WebIntelligence Document and it will lauch Rich Client in 3-tier mode.
Check if you get the same error
If yes, the above assumption will be correct as the resources from BO server will be used in this case.
If issue comes in 3-tier mode and not in 2-tier mode, I would suggest you to make similar changes in tnsnames.ora file on BO Server and check.

Hi Yuvraj
This is the scanario:
dwprod=(DESCRIPTION=
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=server)(PORT=1523))
(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=dwprod)))
I clone this whole environment to qaprod for example the only thing I change on the entries on the server is the connect_data entry to point to qaprod and the host port. Please note these changes are being made on the server not on the client stations
Hi Emmanuel,
Based on above facts, I can suggest to re-deploy application using "Add Remove Programs"-> Modify" so all the corrupted files should be fixed related to InfoView. But better to take full backup of server.
And considering importance of your environment if you feel that re-deploy is not a good option then, please raise a case with SAP support.
Hi,
Additionally, you can refer to following guide from SAP for more information:

Hi,
You said "After cloning an oracle database which was my production environment", Do you change to a new node? If so, the webi 'com.businessobjects.wp.om.OMReportElementContainer (Error: INF)' error could be result in incorrect CMSClusterMembers entry in the registry.
Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry. For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys And Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor.
See SAP KB 1326991 - Error: "com.businessobjects.wp.om.OMReportElementContainer (Error: INF)" on http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1326991 for detail.
Hope this helps,
Jin-Chong
