Revenue budget monitoring through PS

Normally we use PS for capex budget monitoring and control. Please guide me if we can use it for revex monitoring in the similar way ?? Any difference ?? What I can think of is only of carryover .... i.e. Contrary to capex, there is no concept of carryover in revex ....

There is planned revenue on a project which can come from assigned Sales Orders or you enter it directly in PS.  This is similar to planned costs.  But there is no such thing as a Revenue Budget.

On the cost side you have planned costs and budgets which are 2 different sets of values.  On the revenue side you only have planned revenue.

What business requirement are you trying to meet?

Ken,

I thinks he refers OPEX Budget as Revenue budget not the sales revenue.

Yes, you can use PS budget availability for any costs.  There is no functional difference in PS Budget Availability as to why you are spending money (either Capital Expenditures or Operational Expenditures).

Carry over is part of the business budgeting process.  There could be carry over from year to year on a opex spend.
