Variance Calculated and Target cost for old production orders

Hello SAP Experts,

Variance has been calculated for old production orders and target cost is showing up in The reports like KKBC_HOE.

Is it posiible to ignore variance calculation for the same. client does not wanted to see the target cost for those orders.

Going forward what need to be done? i am assuming most of the orders has settlement type PER for production orders which is causing this?

I am not sure if this is the only reason? how do we change default settlement rule going forward to avoid this?

Thank You

Puja

    Hi Puja

If the variance has been calculated already on those orders, the only way to ignore them in KKBC_HOE is to assign a status selection profile in your KKBC_HOE related config.. I guess stat sel profile is made from BS22.. There you can choose which orders to be displayed

If the variance has not been calculated and you wanna ignore them froim calculation itself, best way is to assign Settlement profile 90 into these orders or remove the variance key / RA key from those prod orders

Usually, prod orders should have FUL.. If it is PER, you can change it in the config for Prod order types (t CODE KOT2_OPA OR IMG > COST OBJ CONTROLLING > PROD COST BY ORDERS > DEFINE COSTING RELEVANT SETTINGS FOR ORDER TYPES)

    Hello Puja,

i think target cost calculated for old orders primarily for various reasons one of them is mentioned by you because production orders usually will have settlement type FUL instead of PER.

the issue you are experiencing is caused by the periodic settlement rule. Please change this for future orders.Already existing and processed orders cannot be changed anymore

but should be closed and archived. I had similar issues few months back

refer- SAP note 308499 and 421710

    i hope it helps

    Best regards

    Hi..

I understand that you don’t want display data for old production in report which is created using data collection function(t-code:KKRC).

When you create summarization hierarchy(t-code:kkr0), you can remove production order which you won't display using Status Selection Profile or Selection variant of data scope screen(t-code:kkr0).
