How to change URL of SySam server in SMP 2.3?

During the installation of SAP Mobile Platform 2.3 we ran through a couple of problems regarding IPv6.

During installation the only SySam URI that worked was an IPv6 address. After finishing the installation we checked using lmtools that SySam was not working with IPv6. Hence we disabled IPv6 on the network card and added localhost using 127.0.0.1 and the hostname. After that lmtools showed us that SySam was serving the licence now without problems.

But the SMP 2.3 cannot check the license out because it is searching for it on the IPv6 address.

Is there any way to change the URL where SMP is looking for the SySam server without reinstalling the whole server?

Answer: It can be set in environment variable LM_LICENSE_FILE. You can fill in port@host or a path to a file if not using SySam.

Hi Mark,

You can go to UnwiredServer\Sysam-2.2\bin directory and try below command.

"sysam configure" (It will detect the system IP type and adapt accordingly)

You can also explorer lmtools.exe available under UnwiredServer\Sysam-2.2\bin.
