I posted a blog before I "Read about proper community behavior on SCN"

How do I get the points for this blog? also, how do I get the badge "I Blogged"?

Hello Ravi,

did you create that blog in your personal space and then moved it to the

-space afterwards?

I remembered that you don't get points for blogs created in your personal space, just when you create one in the normal spaces. I searched a bit and found the discussion , which supports my memory (maybe that was even the one I saw back then ^^).

Thanks for the reply.

I had already checked this link but it is not applicable to me.

I did not create the blog in personal space. I created it directly under the SAP APO space.

On the reputation tab in mission details, I see under the mission "I Blogged!" it is written that "

Read about proper community behavior on SCN, then create your first blog".

But I did not follow this sequence. I created and published the blog first and later on I read about the Proper community behavior on SCN.

I gues this might be the reason. Wondering if I can get support on this.

the missions are for the badges, you do not get a badge for your blog if it was created prior as the precondition were fulfilled.

But you should always get your 10 points if you post directly  outside your personal space. Moving content from personal space to any other space does not create these 10 points for you.

When was your blog launched? I see a creation date of 9/16 but it was eventually under pre-moderation and got released when SCN had its point crash last weekend.

Yes. You are right. I submitted the blog on 16th Sept but it was approved on 22nd Sept.

I agree that I may not get the badge. What should I do to get the 10 points for blog?

I would suggest to wait until it is announced that all issues are fixed, if you then still miss the points then we can bring it  to the attention of the people in charge
