SAP Benefits Infotypes Date issue......

Dear All,

I have scenario where data is populating properly while creating IT0378-Adjustment Reason Data.

Some employees are eligible for Benefits in future date. So while hiring action is performed , will change the IT0171 start date to future date.

When infotype sequence is executed , after IT0171 is saved , IT0378 will be created. But here is the problem, the start date of IT0378 will be defaulted by hire date,  hence Benefits area will be displayed blank. So i have changed the start date of IT0378 to start date of IT0171.Still the screen is not refreshing with proper Benefit Area , hence no adjustment reason is being populated.

Please advice...........

Hi Jimson

I believe the issue is with configuration of dynamic action, coz i have configured the same for one of the recent projects, for me  when the sequential infotype is triggered to shows the current date. Request you to revert with the configuration done in V_T588Z table, screen shot of the benefit configuration will also be beneficial

Hi Anil,

When Hiring action is performed there is dynamic action trigger we are using for inputting the date.

Manually changing the date to future date for IT0171 and then IT0378.

Consider employee is hired on 1st of January 2014. I want the employee to be in Benefits from 1st of February.

So when hiring action is performed all Infotypes trigger will have hire date as start date.

So when IT0171 is created i will admin will maually change the date to 1st of February and will save it.

After that IT0378 will be triggered with hire date as start date. So again will change the start date to 1st of February , but still Benefit Area is showing blank and not allowing to save.Please see below screen shot

Hi Jim

Please confirm if its working fine, Also on detailed analysis my comments are as below

1. As per your scenario employee is hired on Jan 2014 and i can see the benefit enrollments date as back dated ( 2013.10.06)

2. Please check the back end configurations as in whether  BAREA feature is maintained        ( This will default the benefit area)

Please have a cross check on the above parameters, if the issue still persist request you to revert with a screenshot of dynamic action ( T588Z Table) highlighting the input given from your end so that I will be able to assist you further

Hi Anil,

The screen shot doesnt depict the scenario....

The problem is when IT0171 is created with future date , IT0378 should be created with a start date greater than or equal to IT0171 . But if IT0378 is populated with a different start date( Date before IT0171 is created) this error will come. Even if you try to change the date in IT0378 , system is not refreshing the screen with proper Benefit Area.

So the solution is when IT0378 is populated as part of Infogroup, instead of default start date, start date should be as that of IT0171. Then Benefit Area will be seen with proper values.

So i have created a dynamic action for the above scenario.and it worked......Thanks for your inputs once again Anil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
