    there are few things needs to be done

    • the best practice is to avoid sessions timing out, 20 minutes is a sufficient time
    • if you want to change the Autosave and Recovery time to another one:

    1. On the server hosting the Web Application tier, navigate to

    <INSTALLDIR>\<TOMCAT>\webapps\<APPLICATION>\WEB-INF\web.xml

    Open the web.xml in a text editor such as Notepad or vi

    1. Locate the following line:
      <session-config>
      <session-timeout>20</session-timeout>
      </session-config>
    2. Change the value in minutes to the one of your choice
    3. Save the web.xml file.
    4. Restart Tomcat

    1. Log on to Central management console (CMC)
    2. Go To ‘Applications’ under Manage
    3. Right Click (Web Intelligence) > Manage > Properties.
    4. Increase the time in minutes of ‘auto-save time delay’ to the one of your choice
    5. Click Save & Close
