Report Designer - modify existing query

Dear experts

I have a Report in BEx Report Designer that uses a query as Data Provider. Now I have added a new characteristic to this query. Unfortunately this new characteristic is not reflected in the Report Designer.

What do I have to do to refresh an existing Data Provider in Report Designer?

Thanks for your Support.

BR

Christophe

Try regenerating the Query using RSRT.

    Thanks

Just get into the change mode of your report in report designer and remove the query and reassign the same query. Hope it will reflect here.

If not regenerate the query in RSRT.

    Hi Christoph,

I assume the issue is in Prod OR QA, if yes then

    • Generate the report and execute in RSRT, check whether you get the new char.
    • If yes, then re-attach the query to report @ report designer.
    • Transport all relevant query elements along with report.
    • Generate the report in RSRT.

If the issue in Dev, then first two steps are enough.

    Hope it helps!

    Thanks,

    Umashankar
