Hi all,
My client asking me to transfer historical data of his company from his legacy system to SAP B1. I'm wondering that is it allowed by SAP to upload last 2 years data ( eg: sales invoices.) but I request I need the prerequisite of SAP like pro and cons.
It will be very helpful if someone can guide be or by providing any SAP document link which clearly mention it....
Best Regards,
Adnan
Hi Adnan,
AFAIK, technically it is possible to upload any number of years of historical transaction.
It is only very troublesome to upload those number of data.
Not to mention the different business process between the legacy and the SAP system.
It will be easier to upload only the opening balance.
And the historical data uploaded into a User Table, usable only for custom reporting.

Edy

Hi Syed,
As mentioned by our colleague is technically possible. But the most appropriate would provide this information in another basis for interfering with its production base and maybe in the future to create and provide a consolidated report.
That's what I try to convince the client to do!

Hello Adnan ,
For Uploading Sales Invoice in system you need Stock in system so you required to upload inventory as well. This is single scenario same will applicable for purchase .
This is very tedious , time consuming task and not reliable as well. Because after completion of work who will check the authenticity of data.
We had also faced the same problem for uploading legacy data then we decide to go with opening balances.
