prob.. in screen painter fields....plz helppppppppppp....

Hi

I have made a screen in which i have placed a tabstrip. tabstrip contains 3 subscreens.

on first subscreen i am giving 2 integer values and on the second i am selecting an arithmetic operation (like add, sub, mul, div) and on the third subscreen i am showing the i/p values and the operation selected along with the result.

my problem is when i given a zero value or if the result is zero then i am not able to see the zero value in the i/o filed. that field is blank.

and when i subtract a greater no. from a lesser no. i am getting a runtime dump error as the result is going in nevative values.

how can i solve this problem.

regards,

maqsood

if u declare fields as numeric / integer then the default value is always null (i.e zero)..

To avoid short dump u have to declare the variable in suchaway i allow negative values..

like if u see the domains WERTV8..u can find one check box called sign. if it is checked means that i will allow negative values also..

so declare the variable as type I or P...

    See this link.

    positive-and-negative-values-for-amount-fields-on-

Fields that allow negative values in Screen paiter should declared with V at the end.

    Hi ,

Yes you can decalare the field type WERTV8(CURR->

currency) or MENGV8(QUAN->Quantity) so that you can

    get -ve values too.

Please reward points if this explanation useful.
