Errors while using inactive BI content for DSiM 1.0 SP02

Hi all,

I am a dual student (intern) working for the Value Prototyping team at SAP in Palo Alto.

In my current internship I am trying to setup a DSiM process in order to test the DSiM capibilities regarding predictive analytics. My department wants to understand the DSiM and its predictive analytic functionalities.

Besids some customizing and other preperations, I have already managed it to set up a DSiM process with a local file upload.

When the first step is being executed (Load Locations) I ran into errors saying "Error while triggering process chain /DDF/LOC_FILE".

After checking the process chain I encountered that there are two errors:

  1. Load Data: 0PAK_9YY15KCJFMTGZWU6FFIES59V1 - the InfoPackage seems not to exist in an active version.
  2. Local (reference on process chain): Load Location Acquisition (/DDF/LOC1) - the error message in this process chain is: "Process variant DTP_LOAD DTP_00O2TM3ICWEGAT2UAPQRPOP7D does not exist in version A"

I activated the DSiM related BI content via report "RSO_BC_INSTALL_ALL" with the variants "DDF" and "DSR".

I already checked if I can manually activate the BI content via RSA1->BI Content->Object Types but the missing InfoPackages and DTP's aren't existing under "Select Objects".

I have also problems with some other process chains and therefore in executing DSiM steps.

Due to the fact that I haven't found any reference regarding this topic I thought of asking here.

Do I need to create the content manually?

Thanks for your help,

Erik

    Hey all,

    Thanks for your answers.

Unfortunately it turned out that if you want to activate the DSiM BI content you need to strictly follow the steps in SAP note 1760757 (especially the first ones).

Errors while using inactive BI content for DSiM 1.0 SP02https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1760757

I skipped parts of the first point where you connect your BW to an SAP ERP/ECC, File system and BOBJ DS. After I created those source systems and activated the content again, I got less error messages than before, the DSiM process I set up starts running and creates no error messages in the first steps.

    Best,

    Erik

It seems as if the problem is caused by the DataSource /DDF/LOCATION_ATTR which is not available in object Version A.

Can anybody give me a hint on how to solve this problem?

    Thanks

    Erik
