SAP CartApproal on Blackberry without Relay Server

Hi all,

in our environment, we are using SUP 2.1.3 with the SAP Cart Approval mobile application. The Blackberry devices are using Blackberry Enterprise Server but NO relay server.

What do we have to enter in the credentials page of the app for 'Company ID'? Zero ('0') or <nothing> or Blank?

I assume, that in the application connection settings for this app, we also have to configure the 'Company ID' parameter to the same value?!

Any help would be nice!

Hi Bernard,

If you want to connect to SUP without relay server, please make sure that your BES and SUP are in the same network,

If they are in same network you can use ip (or) hostname, port, and company id as "0" to connect to SUP.

Your answer confirmed my assumption.

What do you mean with 'in the same network'?

Isn't it sufficient to have a network connection between SUP and BES for the needed ports?

Our problem is, that we get an error 558 ('Could not connect to server. Verify

Relay Server URL Template' Error code: 558)

And I'm a little bit confused about the 'solution' of this error ('Verify Relay Server URL Template').

Any idea?

Hi Bernhard,

It means that your SUP server should be reachable from your BES server.

You might be using relay server which is not installer/configured on default web URL path hence you would need to set relay server URL suffix through API. Ideally default relay server URL suffix is "\ias_relay_server\client\rs_client.dll" for Windows IIS based system.
