Conversion routine for screen field

I am designing a screen element, whose screen name needs to be different from the DDIC name.. But I want the screen element to use the attributes of the corresponding DDIC field (for example conversion routine)... How do I achieve this?

What ever max said...I am just elaborating.

On the screen painter, click on data dictionary fields button, enter the table name and pick the field you want and drop it on the screen. Then go that screen element attributes and change the name of the element.

    Hi,

When you define the screen element attributes, there is an attribute - Conv.Exit (convertion routine).
